Reconstruction of the hymen (Hymenoplasty) is an operation in which the integrity of the hymen is restored.
This operation is usually performed to restore the appearance of virginity.

The hymen is a thin membrane that covers the entrance to the vagina. During sexual intercourse, this membrane tears, which is usually accompanied by slight bleeding.
Reconstruction of the hymen is most often performed under short-term general anesthesia.
Recovery lasts about 7 days, sexual intercourse is possible after 4 weeks.
